Gillard Associates is the oldest full service legal recruitment firm in New England serving a national clientele. It was founded in 1980 by Elizabeth A. Gillard, the former President of the Massachusetts Association of Personnel Services. Serving on the Board of the National Association of Personnel Services and advising on the National Association of Legal Personnel Services established the firm with an adherence to the highest ethical standards in the industry.
The firm was established to assist companies and law firms in hiring qualified attorneys, paralegals and secretaries for permanent or contract placement. Gillard Associates collaborative efforts focus on fulfilling the needs of employers while enhancing the professional development of employees.
In 2003, Cheryl Gillard-Cmaylo became president and CEO of Gillard Associates following in her mothers footsteps. With over 35 years of experience in legal recruitment and placement together they created one of the leading legal placement companies in the country working with most all firms in Boston and throughout New England establishing a national network all across the US. Their client list includes Fortune 500 companies, private law firms, healthcare and commercial businesses.

Biography
As president and CEO of Gillard Associates, Cheryl Gillard-Cmaylo is responsible for all business management and administration for Gillard Associates. Cheryl has consistently demonstrated her commitment to the personnel industry by her many years of service and her positive attitude. Her energy, expertise, networking and people skills are clearly above the rest. During her career, she has been elected President of MAPS 10 terms and is the current President she has also been appointed to a variety of boards including; Sr. VP of Operations, Sr. VP of Government Affairs, Activities and Education and has been a board member of the New England Association of Personnel Services since 1986. Cheryl has volunteered for many professional and civic boards and is active in local and state-wide politics. She has been instrumental in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization and the Christian Child Foundation over the years. Her academic accomplishments include a Bachelors Degree in Aviation management (flight training) and business from Daniel Webster College in Nashua NH and many years of industry related training and experience. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, flying and skiing.
